Transferring video files from one computer to another can be a real pain. DVD files can be many GB in size, much too big for a CD or data DVD. Sending files of that size over FTP, email, or any other file transfer method is worse: one glitch and the entire transfer is ruined.
Fortunately, there's a simple answer: VidSplit!
VidSplit is a small, fast utility that takes large files of any type and breaks them down into smaller files. You can then transfer the small files with ease, and, once transferred, reassemble the files in a flash with VidSplit. You can never tell the file has been broken up and reassembled!
The VidSplit interface is designed to be very simple to use:

To split a large file, click the Split button and select the file from the browser window. After selecting the file, VidSplit divides that file up into smaller files of the size you specify while the bottom of the VidSplit window shows you progress.
The split files are automatically numbered for ease. If your original file is "video.avi", the parts are numbered as "video.avi.001", "video.avi.002" and so on.
And remember, VidSplit works on any file, not just video files!
After the files are transferred, just run VidSplit, click the Join button, locate the parts of the split file, and the file is reassembled quickly and easily.
VidSplit even works with files split by other utilities, including HJSplit!
Downloaded a bunch of files with names like avi.001, avi.002, avi.003 and so on? Don't know how to reassemble them into their original .avi file? Vidsplit does it quickly and easily. Compatible with all current file split utilities, VidSplit can combine your video files for you!
Everything you need to split and rejoin big files is in one simple utility, with a handy Help file to make sure you get running quickly!.
